Are you planning a camping trip to the San Francisco area in mid October? Maybe you are lucky enough to live in the area? If either of these are the case, then you will want to make a stop at the Art & Pumpkin Festival in Half Moon Bay, CA. Half Moon Bay has been hosting this event for 41 years and it isn’t just the pumpkins that they do up big!
Activities at the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival include food and drink, a haunted house, pumpkin carvers, harvest-inspired crafts, pumpkin pies, entertainment on three stages, a battle of the bands contest, a parade, a pumpkin run/walk and of course you can’t forget about the Volkswagen-sized weigh-off champion pumpkins on display! This year they even have an iPhone app to help festival-goers find their way around.
The Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival runs October 15-16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main St. between Kelly Avenue and Spruce Streets in Half Moon Bay. Admission is free.
